Nomi Lyonns (or Sat Guru Kaur as she is known in the yogic community) had the great fortune to grow up on Salt Spring Island. Though she has traveled extensively, she has always felt a strong connection to her roots.

"I'm very blessed to share this beautiful environment, the amazing techniques of Kundalini Yoga along with the myriad of healing techniques that I have had the benefit of experiencing and studying over the last two and a half decades. Paradise Found is truly a place where you can shift your consciousness and heal."

Personally using natural healing methods for more than 25 years, Nomi says Kundalini Yoga is a perfect compliment to balancing out a full and healthy lifestyle. She has studied and practiced many forms of body-based healing therapies over the years and was lead to Kundalini yoga in 1999 through an LA gym.

Those first classes of kundalini yoga physically kicked my butt BUT it was also the most delicious, sweet and blessed gift. Practicing this particular form of yoga works very, very quickly at getting rid of physical and mental blocks. If you are ready to let things go, things in your life start shifting and changing. Not just your physical body. It's real magic."

Training in the Yogi Bhajan School at Raj Yog Nivas/Yoga West in Vancouver, with her fabulous teachers Dharm Kaur and Guru Raj, Sat Guru Nomi has also found inspiration through classes and workshops with top teachers from around the yoga world. She teaches one on one and group classes at various gyms, yoga studios and other amenable spots globally.

Nomi is currently earning a Degree in Natural Health with Clayton College. She has worked as a certified Fitness and Weight Trainer and is also a certified Reflexologist. She graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts from Studio 58 in Vancouver where she studied the body techniques of Alexander and Feldenkrais and laid the foundation for her vocal work with Linkletter & Skinner techniques. Private vocal teachers included: Luigi Wood, Nicholai Kolesnikov and Seth Riggs.
